Dancer, Choreographer & Videographer
Amanda Hoover is a recent graduate from Indiana University who pursued dual degrees in Contemporary Dance and Cinema and Media Productions. Amanda is also a freelance dancer, choreographer and videographer based in Provo, Utah.
Amanda has a history of diverse dance backgrounds. She began her dance training when she was three years old, and later joined a competition dance studio. She eventually made her way to join a pre-professional dance company entitled Dancers Edge from Marion, IN. From there, she was able to work with renowned choreographers such as Sonya Tayeh and Brooke Pierotti.
Her undergraduate experience at Indiana University has provided numerous performance, choreographic, and video production opportunities. Amanda has had the opportunity to dance repertoires by Kyle Abraham, Bill T. Jones, Jose Limon, Rennie Harris and Twyla Tharp. She has also previously worked as the video producer/editor for American Dance Festival. Amanda has been choreographing for the past four years for shows premiering through the Contemporary Dance Program and Indiana University Theatre's University Players.
